What are the hours of operation?
All of our locations are open Monday through Friday from 7am - 6pm. We believe in providing team members with a healthy work-life balance. Enjoy the weekend!
What type of vehicles and repairs does the shop specialize in?
Our shop offers auto repair services and maintenance for every vehicle. Gas or diesel, foreign or domestic, car or truck - no matter the vehicle, we have the expertise and experience to fix it right the first time.
What diagnostic equipment and tools are available?
What truly sets us apart is the CBA Diagnostic Suite—a custom-built, Windows-based diagnostic platform that connects directly to OEM software—paired with OEM pass-through devices for GM, Ford, and Stellantis, the DrewTech CarDaqPlus3 for broader coverage including Honda, Toyota, and Nissan, and advanced aftermarket scan tools like the iScan3 and Autel Maxisys Ultra, all of which give our technicians dealership-level diagnostic and programming capabilities across nearly all makes and models.
Is there an internal training program for team members?

Yes! We have spent countless hours developing our Learning Management System, The Flywheel, to support team members in their learning journeys. Here's some of what you will find on The Flywheel:

Is this shop location managed by a central office or headquarters?
No, each location is individually owned and operated. This means that while we share a common brand and mission, each shop is run by an independent party.
What in-person training is available?
Team members have the opportunity to attend in-person training events at our Support Center in Houston, TX, as well as regional events held by the Service Development team and trusted vendors.
What type of support is available with difficult or problem repairs/diagnostics?
At Christian Brothers Automotive, you're never left to tackle tough jobs on your own. Our in-house Technical Assistance Center (T.A.C.) is made up of experienced Master L1 techs who are here to walk alongside you when you're working through challenging diagnostics or repairs. Whether it's drivability issues, electrical concerns, or complex system strategies, our role is to guide, support, and help you think through the next steps. We don't just give answers, we work with you so you can build confidence, sharpen your skills, and keep moving forward with clarity.
What is the structure of a team member's pay?
Our shop has several different pay structures depending on the role and skill level. We offer hourly, salary, and flat-rate structures.

Meet the owners

Owned & Operated By Ray and Cheryl Martinez

Ray and Cheryl Martinez are the franchise operators of Christian Brothers Automotive Tyler. They have been happily married since 2016, which includes their seven beautiful kids and one sweet lovebird named Blue.

Cheryl loves baking, volunteering at the local animal shelters, and has a background in Interior Design. Ray enjoys fishing, grilling, donating to local veterans in need and spending time with family.

After serving our country, Ray started working for Christian Brother Automotive in Garland, TX where he immediately fell in love with the brand and its values. He knew he belonged there serving customers and Christ together. After working for fourteen years, Ray was blessed with the chance to operate his own location. Ray is enthusiastic about serving customers and the Tyler team to humbly glorify the Lord’s name. Ray and Cheryl are excited to serve the residents of the Tyler area and look forward to seeing you at Christian Brothers Automotive Tyler.
