What are the hours of operation?

All of our locations are open Monday through Friday from 7am - 6pm. We believe in providing team members with a healthy work-life balance. Enjoy the weekend!

What type of vehicles and repairs does the shop specialize in?

Our shop offers auto repair services and maintenance for every vehicle. Gas or diesel, foreign or domestic, car or truck - no matter the vehicle, we have the expertise and experience to fix it right the first time.

What diagnostic equipment and tools are available?

What truly sets us apart is the CBA Diagnostic Suite—a custom-built, Windows-based diagnostic platform that connects directly to OEM software—paired with OEM pass-through devices for GM, Ford, and Stellantis, the DrewTech CarDaqPlus3 for broader coverage including Honda, Toyota, and Nissan, and advanced aftermarket scan tools like the iScan3 and Autel Maxisys Ultra, all of which give our technicians dealership-level diagnostic and programming capabilities across nearly all makes and models.

Is there an internal training program for team members?

Is this shop location managed by a central office or headquarters?

No, each location is individually owned and operated. This means that while we share a common brand and mission, each shop is run by an independent party.

What in-person training is available?

Team members have the opportunity to attend in-person training events at our Support Center in Houston, TX, as well as regional events held by the Service Development team and trusted vendors.

What type of support is available with difficult or problem repairs/diagnostics?

At Christian Brothers Automotive, you're never left to tackle tough jobs on your own. Our in-house Technical Assistance Center (T.A.C.) is made up of experienced Master L1 techs who are here to walk alongside you when you're working through challenging diagnostics or repairs. Whether it's drivability issues, electrical concerns, or complex system strategies, our role is to guide, support, and help you think through the next steps. We don't just give answers, we work with you so you can build confidence, sharpen your skills, and keep moving forward with clarity.

What is the structure of a team member's pay?

Our shop has several different pay structures depending on the role and skill level. We offer hourly, salary, and flat-rate structures.

Meet the owners

Owned & Operated By Kris and Chris Laukant

Welcome to Christian Brothers Automotive Sun Prairie, located at 2420 Ironwood Drive, next to Mounds, and behind Metro Market on Highway 19!

Franchise Operator Kris and her husband, Chris Laukant (not confusing at all!), have both been in the automotive industry for a combined 30 + years. Kris has extensive experience as a Service Advisor, Dispatcher, Service Manager, and Service Director over the course of her career, and Chris has been a Master Certified Technician for 10 years.

In their free time, they enjoy camping (“glamping,” they call it), playing with Nerf guns, RC rock crawling, and both have a passion for all things Harry Potter. Kris heard the calling to make the move from dealership to independent repair at a time that she thought she was going to leave the industry, but God showed her Hiis path and plan, and humbly and gratefully followed His calling. After having driven an hour each way to Franklin, WI for work for the last 4 years, coming back to the area they live in to work has been nothing short of a dream come true, and both are looking forward to reconnecting within the community in order to serve God and His people.
