Meet the owners
Owned & Operated By Matthew and Amy Hunter
Matthew and Amy Hunter, proud residents of Northwest Peoria, are thrilled to bring Christian Brothers Automotive – Lake Pleasant to the vibrant community they call home. As longtime believers in the strength and spirit of Peoria’s “four-corners” district, they’re honored to offer a trustworthy, family-owned repair shop right in the neighborhood—one that reflects the values they live by and the care they believe every community deserves.
The Hunter family has poured their hearts into their first location, Christian Brothers Automotive – Happy Valley, where every member has played a role—from turning wrenches and driving the courtesy shuttle to landscaping and creating a welcoming environment. Even their beloved shop dog, Paco, has become part of the experience, helping foster a space that’s friendly, customer-first, and rooted in faith and integrity.
With the opening of their second location, Christian Brothers Automotive – Lake Pleasant, the Hunters are excited to continue that legacy. Guests can expect expert repairs backed by long warranties, warm and attentive service, complimentary shuttle rides to and from home, and a cozy waiting area with snacks and beverages. Most importantly, repairs are handled by Master Technicians who prioritize accuracy, efficiency, and care.
Christian Brothers Automotive is a nationwide brand that has been recognized by J.D. Power as the best aftermarket repair shop in America for six consecutive years. The Hunter family is committed to upholding that standard at their Lake Pleasant location, believing that what truly sets Christian Brothers apart is the presence of hands-on owners who love their neighbors, invest in their teams, and place God at the center of every decision—from how they treat people to what matters most in their business.
Their hope is that every guest who walks through the doors of Christian Brothers Automotive – Lake Pleasant experiences what they call the Nice Difference: a shift from the uncertainty and discomfort often associated with auto repair to something joyful, reassuring, and rooted in genuine care.
The Hunter family is deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve this community and look forward to meeting the needs of your vehicle with excellence and integrity. They understand how essential a safe, reliable vehicle is to living life fully—and that belief is at the heart of everything they do.
As they carry out their mission, they’re guided by the words of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” – Matthew 22:39
Very truly, The Hunter Family
