Meet the owners
Sean Hughes is a lifelong Southwest Michigan resident, husband to Shanell for 30 years, father of seven, and grandfather of five.
His connection to automotive care started early, working in his dad's small automotive repair and accessories shop. He later spent 10 years in a family-owned automotive dealership before spending more than 15 years in leadership with Youth For Christ—seven years as a local Executive Director and eight years in national leadership with YFC USA. Along the way, he has served on several local nonprofit boards and been involved in the redevelopment of what is now Midlink Business Park.
Sean is drawn to Christian Brothers Automotive because of its commitment to transparency, excellence, being neighborly, and finding joy in serving others. He believes the "Nice Difference" is really about something simple: loving your neighbor as yourself.
For Sean, that means creating a place where guests can trust the people advising them, trust the work being done on their vehicles, and know they are being treated with honesty and respect.
He's spent his life in this community. Now, he wants to continue serving the people who call it home.
